This weekend, I made habanero jelly.  It is so sweet, hot, and tasty!  I made about 7 cups of it.  We had some last night over cream cheese on crackers.  I love it.  It was the first time I have made that.  Hopefully it will get even better as it sits for a bit. 

I am SO exhausted, I am thinking about going to bed at 8pm!  This weekend took a lot out of me.

a switch

Yesterday, I was cooking dinner, as I always do and B was watching some science videos that he has been into.  He has been interested and started learning lots of things about the universe and space.  I can hear the tv and the typical narrator and know what he is watching.  Then, I hear something about an egg being released.  Huh?  When I looked, he was watching something about conception and how the cells begin to divide and form the different parts.  I've never seen this curiosity in him.  I'm excited to see the change in him and his inquisitive nature delve into this subject.  Hopefully this will continue to grow in him as we approach June.  We still haven't heard from D (donor) about his decision.  He said he would let us know in a week, which will be next Tuesday.  I think that if we haven't heard from him by Wednesday, I will send him an email and offer to pay for him to talk to a psychologist or someone about it to help him s...

happy hour?

So, I met a long time friend for a drink tonight. She and I became friends in 8th grade-- so quite a while ago. We had many fun adventures in high school. After freshman year of college, we started drifting apart, but have remained friends through the years. I maybe see her 4-5 times a year now, so not often. It was fun to catch up with her, but some of the conversation was strained. "I have a question for you, that is a little...." Inappropriate? "sort of..." Ok, well, then you'll understand if I don't answer or whatever "Sure.... are you having fertility issues?" Uh.... what would make you ask that? "Well, you mentioned on facebook something about going to the doctors. And you left a comment on some video of someone's baby that they are lucky. And, I can tell that you're not that happy."
